RESUMO Objetivo Caracterizar os atos comunicativos de crianças com transtorno do desenvolvimento da linguagem, verificando a quantidade de atos comunicativos, atos comunicativos interativos e sua relação com a idade cronológica. Métodos Foram participantes 40 crianças de ambos os gêneros com diagnóstico de transtorno do desenvolvimento da linguagem com idades entre 3 anos e 2 meses e 7 anos e 11 meses. Todos os sujeitos foram avaliados com a Prova de Pragmática ABFW - Teste de Linguagem Infantil, em sua avaliação inicial. Especificamente para este estudo, focou-se na verificação da quantidade de atos comunicativos, atos comunicativos por minuto, atos comunicativos interativos e número de iniciativas comunicativas. Resultados Os dados indicaram que crianças com transtorno do desenvolvimento da linguagem apresentam alterações importantes em relação aos atos comunicativos e interações comunicativas e há correlação dessas variáveis com a idade cronológica. Conclusão Crianças com transtorno do desenvolvimento da linguagem apresentam diminuição no número de atos comunicativos, atos comunicativos interativos e interações comunicativas, quando comparadas aos valores de referência de crianças típicas, independentemente da idade.

ABSTRACT Purpose To characterize the communicative acts of children with Developmental Language Disorder, verifying the number of communicative acts, interactive communicative acts, and their relationship with chronological age. Methods Forty children of both sexes with a diagnosis of Developmental Language Disorder aged between 3 years and seven years and 11 months were subjects. All subjects were assessed with the ABFW Pragmatics Test - Child Language Test in their initial assessment. Specifically, this study focused on verifying the number of communicative acts, communicative acts per minute, interactive communicative acts, and the number of communicative initiatives. Results The data indicate that children with Developmental Language Disorder present significant alterations concerning communicative acts and communicative interactions, and there is a correlation between these variables and chronological age. Conclusion Children with Developmental Language Disorder show a decrease in the number of communicative acts, interactive communicative acts, and communicative interactions when compared to the reference values of typical children, regardless of age.

RESUMO Objetivo comparar os sintomas da cinetose provocados por estímulo de realidade virtual, em voluntários com e sem histórico da doença. Métodos estudo analítico qualitativo e quantitativo, observacional transversal, prospectivo, realizado com voluntários com e sem histórico de cinetose, submetidos à imersão em realidade virtual com o uso de óculos de realidade aumentada. Antes e após a estimulação sensorial, o participante tinha a frequência respiratória (FR), a frequência cardíaca (FC) e pressão arterial sistólica (PAs) e diastólica (PAd) medidas. No primeiro dia, o voluntário foi exposto a um vídeo que simulava uma pessoa dentro de um carro, com predomínio de fluxo visual lateral. Após uma semana, uma animação de montanha russa, com predomínio de fluxo visual frontal. Durante a estimulação sensorial de dez minutos, uma nota de 0 a 10 era dada a cada 30 segundos para a intensidade do desconforto sentido pelo participante. Após, um questionário foi realizado para avaliação dos sintomas de cinetose. Resultados indivíduos com cinetose apresentaram maior intensidade de sintomas, tanto no experimento do carro (p=0,026), como na montanha russa (p=0,035). Não houve correlação entre cinetose e as variáveis FC, FR e PA. Os pacientes com cinetose atribuíram maiores notas de desconforto no curso das experiências, principalmente na experiência da montanha russa. Conclusão indivíduos com cinetose apresentam sintomas mais intensos quando submetidos a estímulos por realidade virtual, se comparados a indivíduos sem a doença.

ABSCTRACT Purpose to compare the symptoms of motion sickness caused by virtual reality stimulation in volunteers with and without history of the disease. Methods qualitative and analytical, observational, cross-sectional, and prospective study, approved by Research Ethics Committee, 3.443.429/19, with volunteers with and without history of motion sickness who were subjected to immersion in VR with the use of virtual reality glasses. Before and after sensory stimulation, the participant had respiratory rate (RF), heart rate (HR) and systolic blood pressure (PAs) and diastolic blood pressure (PAd) measured. On the first day, the volunteer was exposed to a video that simulated a person in a car, with a predominance of lateral visual flow. A week later, an animation of a roller coaster, with a predominance of frontal visual flow. During the 10-minute experiment, a score from 0 to 10 was given every 30 seconds for the intensity of the discomfort felt by the volunteer. A post-questionnaire was conducted to assess motion sickness symptoms. Results individuals with motion sickness history had a higher intensity of symptoms in the car (p = 0.026) and roller coaster experiment (p = 0.035). There was no correlation between motion sickness and the variables HR,FR,PA. Patients with motion sickness gave higher scores of discomfort throughout the experiments, mainly in the roller coaster experience. Conclusion individuals with motion sickness present more intense symptoms when subjected to stimuli by VR compared to controls without disease.

ABSTRACT Purpose To describe the main quantitative methods used for morphometric analysis of the vocal tract in singers, their applications and the main segments studied. Research strategy This is an integrative review guided by the guiding question “What are the main quantitative methods used for morphometric analysis of the vocal tract, their applications and the main segments studied in singers?”. The electronic databases PubMed, Scopus and VHL were used through the search key (Vocal tract OR Oropharynx) AND (Morphology OR Geometry) AND (Evaluation OR Diagnosis) AND (voice), without restriction of years of publication, including articles in three languages: Portuguese, English and Spanish. Selection criteria The selection took place independently through reading by pairs and subsequent application of exclusion and inclusion criteria. Results Of the 380 studies, 30 duplicates were excluded. After reading the abstracts, applying the selection criteria, 18 studies were selected for full reading, of which 12 were included in this review. Magnetic resonance imaging was the main instrument used and the analyzed segments ranged from the length and volume of the vocal tract to isolated segments and their morphological particularities. Conclusion Vocal tract morphological quantification methods are important for the instrumental evaluation of the vocal tract and its segments, a technological update leading to better understanding of singers’ voice and therapeutical intervention.

RESUMO Objetivo descrever os principais métodos quantitativos utilizados para análise morfométrica do trato vocal em cantores, suas aplicações e os principais segmentos estudados. Estratégia de pesquisa trata-se de uma revisão integrativa guiada pela pergunta condutora: “Quais os principais métodos quantitativos utilizados para análise morfométrica do trato vocal, suas aplicações e os principais segmentos estudados em cantores?”. Foram utilizadas as bases eletrônicas PubMed, Scopus e BVS, por meio da chave de busca Vocal tract OR Oropharynx AND Morphology OR Geometry AND Evaluation OR Diagnosis AND voice, sem restrições de ano de publicação, sendo incluídos artigos em três idiomas: português, inglês e espanhol. Critérios de seleção: a seleção se deu de forma independente, por meio da leitura por pares e posterior aplicação dos critérios de exclusão e inclusão. Resultados dos 380 estudos, foram excluídos 30 duplicados. A partir da leitura dos resumos, aplicando-se os critérios de seleção, foram selecionados 18 estudos para leitura na íntegra, dos quais, 12 foram incluídos nesta revisão. A ressonância magnética foi o principal instrumento utilizado e os segmentos analisados incluíram desde o comprimento e volume do trato vocal, como segmentos isolados e suas particularidades morfológicas. Conclusão os métodos de quantificação morfológica do trato vocal integram instrumentos importantes para a avaliação instrumental do trato vocal e de seus segmentos, colaborando na atualização tecnológica em voz para melhor compreensão e intervenções fonoaudiológicas na voz cantada

ABSTRACT Objective to compare parameters of postural control in teachers of state education network with different levels of habitual physical activity. Methods 50 teachers (48.1 ± 9 years) participated and were evaluated on a force platform, in a bipedal position, eyes open, on surfaces rigid and unstable. The International Physical Activity Questionnaire (version abbreviated) was used to categorize the level of physical activity into low, moderate and high. The level of physical activity was also divided into groups of more active (G1) and less active (G2). The study carried out an analysis of subgroups by gender and age range and applied non-parametric statistics. Results the data showed that the G2 group, the less active women and the less active individuals in the age group of 49 to 60 years presented worse results in speed in the anteroposterior direction, in the condition of unstable surface and the difference in means between the rigid surface and the unstable. Conclusion the less active group, the less active teachers and less active participants in the 49-60 age group had worse results in velocity in the anteroposterior direction.

RESUMO Objetivo comparar parâmetros do controle postural em professores da rede estadual de ensino com diferentes níveis de atividade física habitual. Métodos participaram 50 professores (48,1±9 anos) que foram avaliados em plataforma de força, na posição bipodal, olhos abertos, em superfícies rígida e instável. O Questionário Internacional de Atividade Física (versão curta) foi utilizado para categorizar o nível de atividade física em baixo, moderado e alto. O nível de atividade física também foi dicotomizado em grupos de mais ativos (G1) e menos ativos (G2). O estudo realizou análise de subgrupos para gênero e faixa etária e aplicou a estatística não paramétrica. Resultados os dados demonstraram que o grupo G2, as mulheres menos ativas e os indivíduos menos ativos na faixa etária de 49 a 60 anos apresentaram piores resultados na velocidade na direção anteroposterior, na condição de superfície instável e na diferença das médias entre a superfície rígida e a instável. Conclusão o grupo menos ativo, as professoras menos ativas e os participantes menos ativos na faixa etária de 49 a 60 anos apresentaram piores resultados na velocidade na direção anteroposterior.

ABSTRACT Purpose To assess the effectiveness of vestibular rehabilitation on functioning, gains in semicircular canals in the Video Head Impulse Test (v-HIT), on responses to the vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (VEMP), depressive symptoms, balance, and dizziness in older adults. Methods Longitudinal, quasi-experimental, analytical study conducted between December 2019 and July 2022, in 50 older adults with vestibular disorders, submitted to vestibular rehabilitation and examinations: VEMP, v-HIT, the questionnaires, visual analog scale, Dizziness Handicap Inventory, Berg Balance Scale, Pfeffer’s Functional Activities Questionnaire, and Geriatric Depression Scale. All examinations and questionnaires were applied before and after eight weekly vestibular rehabilitation sessions. Statistical analysis was performed in SPSS, with the Wilcoxon test (p<0.05). Results There was a gain in the anterior right semicircular canal (0.71/0.78), reduction in dizziness discomfort (7/5) and in the impact of dizziness on the quality of life (35/15), improvement in balance (45/51) and functioning (2/1), and reduction in depressive symptoms (5/3). Conclusion Older adults with vestibular disorder submitted to vestibular rehabilitation improved their gain in vestibulo-ocular reflex, balance, and functional activities and reduced their depressive symptoms and the impact of dizziness on their quality of life.

RESUMO Objetivo Avaliar a efetividade da reabilitação vestibular na funcionalidade, ganho dos canais semicirculares ao Video Head Impulse Test (v-HIT), nas respostas ao Potencial Evocado Miogênico Vestibular (VEMP), sintomas depressivos, equilíbrio e tontura em idosos. Métodos Estudo longitudinal, quase experimental e analítico, realizado entre dezembro de 2019 e julho de 2022, com 50 idosos com disfunção vestibular, submetidos à reabilitação vestibular e à aplicação dos exames VEMP, v-HIT, dos questionários e escalas Escala Visual Analógica, Dizziness Handicap Inventory e Escala de Equilíbrio de Berg, além do Questionário de Atividades Funcionais de Pfeffer e Escala de Depressão Geriátrica. Todos os exames e questionários foram aplicados antes e após oito sessões semanais de reabilitação vestibular. A análise estatística foi realizada pelo programa SPSS, por meio do teste Wilcoxon (p<0,05). Resultados Observou-se melhora do ganho do canal semicircular anterior direito (0,71/0,78), redução do incômodo da tontura (7/5), do impacto da tontura na qualidade de vida (35/15), melhora do equilíbrio (45/51), além de melhora da funcionalidade (2/1) e redução dos sintomas depressivos (5/3). Conclusão Idosos com disfunção vestibular submetidos à reabilitação vestibular apresentaram melhora do ganho do reflexo vestíbulo-ocular, do equilíbrio, da funcionalidade, redução do impacto da tontura na qualidade de vida e dos sintomas depressivos.

ABSTRACT Purpose To evaluate postural control in Menière’s disease. Methods 34 patients with Menière’s disease (experimental group) and 34 healthy individuals (control group) were submitted to Tetrax Interactive Balance System posturography under eight sensory conditions. Stability, weight distribution, synchronization, risk of falling and postural oscillation frequency were analyzed. Results Stability index was higher in the experimental group with significant difference between the groups in all sensory conditions. Risk of falling was higher in the experimental group than in the control. Postural oscillation was higher in the experimental group in all frequency ranges, with significant difference in some of them. There was no significant difference between the groups in the weight distribution and synchronization indexes. Conclusion In this study, Menière’s disease patients presented impaired postural control, characterized by postural instability and oscillation and risk of falling.

RESUMO Objetivo Avaliar o controle postural na doença de Menière. Métodos 34 pacientes com doença de Menière definida (grupo experimental) e 34 indivíduos hígidos (grupo controle), homogêneos quanto à idade e ao gênero, foram submetidos à posturografia do Tetrax Interactive Balance System (Tetrax IBS TM) em oito condições sensoriais. Índice de estabilidade, índice de distribuição de peso, índice de sincronização da oscilação postural direita/esquerda e dedos/calcanhar, frequência de oscilação postural e índice de risco de queda foram analisados. Resultados O índice de estabilidade foi maior no grupo experimental, com diferença significativa entre os grupos, em todas as condições sensoriais testadas. O risco de queda foi maior no grupo experimental do que no grupo controle. A oscilação postural foi maior no grupo experimental em todas as faixas de frequência, com diferença significativa em algumas delas. Não houve diferença significativa entre os grupos nos índices de distribuição de peso e de sincronização, nas oito condições sensoriais avaliadas. Conclusão Pacientes com doença de Menière apresentam comprometimento do controle postural, caracterizado por alterações do índice de estabilidade, em frequências de oscilação postural e no índice de risco de queda.

ABSTRACT Purpose To study the process of hearing assessment in infants who were referred by professionals responsible for Universal Newborn Hearing Screening (UNHS). Methods Analysis of the medical records of 51 infants referred by maternity hospitals where UNHS was performed and were referred to a Hearing Health Center, between January and June 2021. Infants who completed hearing assessment, who never attended the appointments, or were lost during the diagnostic process were identified. Attempts were made to contact infants' guardians in order to understand the reason for missing the appointments. Results The attendance to the diagnosis was 75%. Fifty percent of the infants completed hearing assessment as recommended, up to 3 months of life. The attempt to contact parents who missed the appointments was successful, and the most frequent reasons are: the infant was ill on the day of scheduled appointment, distance from home to the hearing health center, parents’ working hours. Conclusion For the diagnostic stage, the attendance rate and the age for completing hearing assessment were below the recommended. The active search for telephone contact and use of phone messaging application was important to reduce evasion by seventy-six percent. Tools that optimize the diagnostic process with less infants missing still must be studied.

RESUMO Objetivo Estudar o processo de diagnóstico audiológico de lactentes que falharam na Triagem Auditiva Neonatal Universal (TANU). Métodos Análise dos prontuários de 51 lactentes que falharam na TANU nas maternidades do munícipio e que foram encaminhados a um centro de referência em saúde auditiva para diagnóstico audiológico, entre janeiro e junho de 2021. Foram identificados os lactentes que finalizaram o diagnóstico, aqueles que não compareceram ao agendamento para exames ou evadiram durante o processo. Tentativas de contato foram realizadas com os responsáveis pelos lactentes que evadiram, para identificar o motivo da evasão. Resultados O comparecimento ao diagnóstico ficou em 75%, com evasões entre o encaminhamento da maternidade para o centro de referência, bem como durante o processo de diagnóstico. Cinquenta por cento dos sujeitos concluíram as avaliações audiológicas até os 3 meses de vida. A tentativa de contato foi bem-sucedida com os responsáveis pelos lactentes que evadiram, sendo os motivos mais frequentes: adoecimento do lactente, distância entre a moradia e o centro de referência, horário de trabalho dos pais. Conclusão Na etapa de diagnóstico, o índice de comparecimento e o tempo de conclusão até o terceiro mês de vida da criança ficaram abaixo dos índices recomendados, diminuindo a efetividade do Programa de Triagem Auditiva Neonatal Universal (PTANU). A busca ativa por contato telefônico e uso de aplicativo de mensagem telefônico foi importante para reduzir a evasão em 76%. Outras ferramentas que aprimorem o processo para um diagnóstico não prolongado, evitando evasões, necessitam ser estudadas.

ABSTRACT Purpose To identify the effects of a phonotherapy program in a group of patients with dysphonia through auditory-perceptual and vocal self-perception assessments. Methods Pilot study: an uncontrolled clinical trial with a convenience sample. Twenty-two patients with an otorhinolaryngological diagnosis of dysphonia participated in the study, including 15 women and 7 men, with a mean age of 59.4 ± 12.53, who underwent 10 speech therapy sessions in groups of 5 to 6 people, with direct and indirect therapy based on the Comprehensive Vocal Rehabilitation Program (CVRP). Patients were individually assessed before and after the therapeutic program, the assessment included auditory-perceptual analysis with the Vocal Symptoms Scale (VSS) and auditory-perceptual analysis of voice quality GRBAS, performed by speech-language pathologists specializing in voice. Results After the therapeutic program, there was a significant difference in the score for the general degree of change in the VSS (p=0.002), and also in the limitation (p=0.002) and emotional (p=0.006) subscales, indicating selfperceived reduction in vocal symptoms after intervention. However, no significant results were found in the pre- and posttreatment comparison regarding vocal quality. Conclusion The study demonstrated that the voice therapy program had statistically significant effects in relation to self-reported vocal symptoms, thus signaling a promising path for an eclectic approach to group vocal therapy.

RESUMO Objetivo Identificar os efeitos de um programa de fonoterapia da voz em grupo de pacientes com disfonia, por meio de avaliações perceptivo-auditiva e autopercepção vocal. Métodos Estudo-piloto de ensaio clínico não controlado, com amostra de conveniência. O estudo contou com 22 participantes com diagnóstico otorrinolaringológico de disfonia. Dentre eles, 15 mulheres e sete homens, com média de idade de 59,4 ± 12,53. Foram realizadas dez sessões de terapia fonoaudiológica em grupos de cinco a seis pessoas, com abordagens diretas e indiretas, baseadas no Programa Integral de Reabilitação Vocal (PIRV). Os participantes foram avaliados individualmente, antes e após a realização do programa terapêutico. A avaliação incluiu análise de autopercepção com a Escala de Sintomas Vocais (ESV) e perceptivo-auditiva da qualidade vocal com a escala Grade, Roughness, Breathness, Asteny, Strain, (GRBAS), realizadas por fonoaudiólogos especialistas em voz. Resultados Após o programa terapêutico, observou-se diferença significativa na pontuação de grau geral de alteração da ESV (p=0,002) e também nas subescalas Limitação (p=0,002) e Emocional (p=0,006), indicando autopercepção de redução dos sintomas vocais após intervenção. No entanto, destaca-se que não foram encontrados resultados significativos na comparação pré e pós-tratamento com relação à qualidade vocal. Conclusão O programa de fonoterapia da voz teve efeitos estatisticamente significativos em relação aos sintomas vocais autorrelatados, sinalizando um caminho promissor de abordagem eclética para a terapia vocal em grupo.

ABSTRACT Purpose to characterize the degree of intensity and discomfort of tinnitus in post-COVID-19 individuals. Methods observational, exploratory and cross-sectional research with 242 participants, divided into two equal groups matched according to sex and age group. The control group, composed of individuals with tinnitus in the pre-pandemic period, and the study group, composed of participants who reported post-COVID-19 tinnitus in different regions of the country. General and domain-specific scores from the Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI) and Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) were compared through descriptive statistical analysis, normality tests, comparison of groups and correlation between variables. Results in each group, 93 participants were female and 28 male, with a mean age of 35 years. The “negligible” and “mild” degrees of the THI and the “mild” and “moderate” of the VAS were higher for the SG, while the catastrophic domain of the THI and the VAS indicate worse scores for the CG. There was a significant difference between all domains of the inter- and intra-group scales. Conclusion milder manifestations of post-COVID-19 tinnitus disturbance, intensity and discomfort were found, compared to symptoms arising from other causes. Thus, the self-reported impact of the studied population was lower, pointing to better therapeutic and prognostic possibilities.

RESUMO Objetivo caracterizar o grau de intensidade e desconforto do zumbido de indivíduos, pós-COVID-19. Métodos pesquisa observacional, exploratória e de corte transversal com 242 participantes, divididos em dois grupos iguais, pareados de acordo com gênero e faixa etária: grupo-controle (GC), composto por indivíduos com zumbido em período pré-pandêmico, e grupo de estudo (GE), composto por participantes que referiram zumbido pós-COVID-19, de diferentes regiões do país. Foram comparados os escores gerais e de domínios específicos do Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI) e da Escala Visual Analógica (EVA), por meio de análise estatística descritiva, testes de normalidade, comparação de grupos e de correlação entre as variáveis. Resultados em cada grupo, 93 participantes eram do gênero feminino e 28, do masculino, sendo a média das idades de 35 anos. Os graus desprezível e leve do THI e leve e moderado da EVA foram maiores para o GE, enquanto o domínio catastrófico do THI e a EVA apontaram piores escores para o GC. Houve diferença significativa entre todos os domínios das escalas inter e intragrupos. Conclusão manifestações mais brandas de incômodo, intensidade e desconforto do zumbido pós-COVID-19 foram encontradas, em comparação ao sintoma decorrente de outras causas. Assim, o impacto do zumbido para a população estudada foi menos autorreferido, apontando para melhores possibilidades terapêuticas e prognósticas.

ABSTRACT Purpose To analyze the therapist-subject with aphasia interlocution in the process of interpretation and organization of comics. Methods Cross-sectional study of a qualitative nature. The data are from audio-recorded enunciative situations and presented descriptively by interlocution charts (A1-T1) and (A2-T2), registering activity with Comics, held at a meeting of the Interdisciplinary Group of Coexistence (GIC) in which subjects with and without aphasia participate. The interlocution between two therapists in training (T1 and T2) and two subjects with aphasia (A1 and A2) is analyzed. Results: The interlocutions between A1-T1 and A2-T2, which occurred during the process of organization of the comic, show different positions of the therapists regarding the ear and the narrated. A1 is recognized by T1 as a subject of language as the therapist promotes disjunction, that is, it directs A1 to the condition of speaker; the same does not occur with A2 and T2, because the former is not recognized as a subject of language, since T2 remains in conjunction, not giving A2 speaking space. Conclusion Benvenistian enunciation is configured as a theoretical and methodological resource for analysis and clinical intervention with subjects with aphasia; the context of group coexistence imposes itself as a locus of care and training for the different areas of attention to people with aphasia, articulating, interdisciplinary, aspects of enunciation to therapeutic practice.

RESUMO Objetivo Analisar a interlocução terapeuta-sujeito com afasia no processo de interpretação e organização de história em quadrinhos. Métodos Estudo transversal, de natureza qualitativa. Os dados coletados foram de situações enunciativas audiogravadas e apresentadas descritivamente por quadros de interlocução (A1-T1) e (A2-T2), registrando atividade com Histórias em Quadrinhos (HQ), realizada em encontro do Grupo Interdisciplinar de Convivência da instituição, do qual participaram sujeitos com e sem afasia. Analisou-se a interlocução entre duas terapeutas em formação (T1 e T2) e dois sujeitos com afasia (A1 e A2). Resultados As interlocuções entre A1-T1 e A2-T2, ocorridas durante o processo de organização das HQ, evidenciaram posicionamentos diferentes das terapeutas, no que tange ao ouvido e ao narrado. A1 foi reconhecida por T1 como sujeito de linguagem, à medida que a terapeuta promoveu a disjunção, ou seja, encaminhou A1 à condição de locutor; o mesmo fato não ocorreu com A2 e T2, pois o primeiro não foi reconhecido como sujeito de linguagem, já que T2 manteve-se em conjunção, não conferindo lugar de fala a A2. Conclusão A enunciação benvenistiana configura-se como recurso teórico-metodológico para análise e intervenção clínica junto a sujeitos com afasia. O contexto de convivência grupal impõe-se como lócus de cuidado e formativo para as diferentes áreas de atenção às pessoas com afasia, articulando, interdisciplinarmente, aspectos da enunciação à prática terapêutica.

ABSTRACT Purpose to verify the readiness for oral feeding and breastfeeding in newborns of mothers diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Methods observational, analytical, quantitative case-control study. For the evaluation of non-nutritive sucking, the PROFAS protocol was used and for the evaluation of performance at the mother's breast, the protocol of Speech Therapy - Breastfeeding. The sample was stratified into two groups, the experimental group, composed of newborns of mothers diagnosed with GDM, and the control group, with newborns of healthy mothers. For statistical analysis, the Mann-Whitney, Shapiro Wilk and Student's t tests were used. Results the total sample consisted of 46 newborns, 21 from the experimental group and 25 from the control group. P<0.05 was observed in the comparison between the groups in the variables: oscillation in the state of consciousness, global hypotonia, weak search reflex, less than five suctions per pause in the assessment of non-nutritive sucking, holding on to the breast, falling asleep after starting suction and mother-infant positioning. Conclusion newborns of mothers diagnosed with GDM had greater difficulty in readiness for oral feeding and in the practice of breastfeeding in the first 72 hours of life, compared to children of healthy mothers.

RESUMO Objetivo verificar a prontidão para via oral e aleitamento materno em recém-nascidos de mães diagnosticadas com diabetes mellitus gestacional (DMG). Métodos estudo observacional, analítico, quantitativo, do tipo caso-controle. Para avaliação da sucção não nutritiva, foi utilizado o Protocolo de Prontidão do Prematuro para Início da Alimentação por Via Oral - POFRAS e, para avaliação do desempenho em seio materno, o Protocolo de Acompanhamento Fonoaudiológico - Aleitamento Materno. A amostra foi estratificada em dois grupos, sendo o grupo experimental composto por recém-nascidos de mães diagnosticadas com DMG e o grupo-controle, por recém-nascidos de mães hígidas. Para a análise estatística, foram utilizados os testes Mann-Whitney, Shapiro Wilk e t de Student. Resultados a amostra total foi composta por 46 recém-nascidos, sendo 21 do grupo experimental e 25 do grupo-controle. Observou-se p<0,05 na comparação entre os grupos nas seguintes variáveis: oscilação do estado de consciência, hipotonia global, reflexo de procura débil, menos de cinco sucções por pausa na avaliação da sucção não nutritiva, pega em seio, adormecimento após iniciar sucção e posicionamento mãe-bebê. Conclusão recém-nascidos de mães diagnosticadas com DMG apresentaram maior dificuldade na prontidão para via oral e na prática do aleitamento materno nas primeiras 72 horas de vida, comparados aos filhos de mães hígidas.

ABSTRACT Purpose To verify the self-perception of symptoms and vocal fatigue related to thyroidectomy in individuals with thyroid cancer in the pre, immediate post and late post-operative moments, and to analyze the influence of gender. Methods Intervention study before and after with 20 individuals, mean age 46 years, evaluated before surgery (M1), immediately after surgery (M2) and in the late postoperative period (M3) of thyroidectomy. Individuals answered the instruments: Voice Symptoms Scale, Vocal Fatigue Index and Thyroidectomy-Related Voice and Symptom Questionnaire. Data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially. Results In self-assessment of vocal symptoms of the total domains and limitation, M1 (p<0.001; p<0.001, respectively) and M3 (p=0.013; p=0.001, respectively) had significantly lower values than the M2. For the physical domain of self-assessment of vocal symptoms, the M3 showed statistically lower values than the M1 (p=0.006) and the M2 (p<0.001) assessments. Depending on the moment, the oropharyngolaryngeal symptoms in M3 had significantly lower values than M2 (p=0.004) and M1 (p=0.028). Male scores were significantly lower than female scores in the self-assessment of fatigue symptoms in the fatigue and vocal limitation domain (p=0.035), regardless of the time of assessment. Conclusion Physical vocal symptoms and thyroidectomy-related symptoms decrease in the late postoperative period; total vocal symptoms and limitation increasing in the immediate postoperative period and decrease in the late postoperative period. Women have a higher perception of vocal fatigue and limitation, and of total and vocal symptoms related to thyroidectomy.

RESUMO Objetivo Verificar autopercepção de sintomas vocais, de fadiga vocal e relacionados à tireoidectomia em indivíduos com câncer de tireoide, nos momentos pré-operatório, pós-operatório imediato e pós-operatório tardio, e analisar a influência do gênero. Métodos Trata-se de um estudo de intervenção antes e após com 20 indivíduos com câncer de tireoide, média de 46 anos de idade, avaliados em três momentos: pré-cirurgia (M1), imediatamente após cirurgia (M2) e no pós-operatório tardio (M3) da tireoidectomia. Os indivíduos responderam aos instrumentos Escala de Sintomas Vocais, Índice de Fadiga Vocal e Thyroidectomy-Related Voice and Symptom Questionnaire. Os dados foram analisados de forma descritiva e inferencial. Resultados Na autoavaliação de sintomas vocais físicos e orofaringolaríngeos relacionados à tireoidectomia, o M3 apresentou valores estatisticamente menores que o M1 (p=0,006 e p=0,028, respectivamente) e o M2 (p<0,001 e p=0,004, respectivamente). Para os sintomas totais (p=0,001) e vocais (p=0,001) relacionados à tireoidectomia, os valores do M3 foram significativamente menores que os do M2. Na autoavaliação de sintomas vocais dos domínios total e limitação, o M1 (p<0,001; p<0,001) e o M3 (p=0,013; p=0,001) apresentaram valores significativamente menores que o M2. Indivíduos do gênero masculino apresentaram percepção de sintomas de fadiga no domínio fadiga e limitação vocal (p=0,035) e percepção de sintomas relacionados à tireoidectomia nos domínios total (p=0,044) e sintomas vocais (p=0,012) significativamente menores do que os do gênero feminino, independentemente do momento. Conclusão Sintomas vocais físicos e relacionados à tireoidectomia diminuem no pós-operatório tardio; sintomas vocais totais e limitação aumentam no pós-operatório imediato e diminuem no tardio. Mulheres têm maior percepção de fadiga e limitação vocal e de sintomas totais e vocais relacionados à tireoidectomia.

ABSTRACT Purpose to observe , in the language of aphasic adult subjects, the constitution of meanings, considering the enunciative (re)organization in reading and writing. Methods qualitative research with applied and exploratory methods and a perspective of enunciative analysis on language, using the notions of form and meaning as analytical base. From an activity performed by three subjects with aphasia (Bir, Cr and Aul), members of the Interdisciplinary Coexistence Group (GIC), formed by participants with and without aphasia, which constituted of (re)organizing the panels (frames) of a comic strip, in order to constitute meaning - since the reading/writing of texts are skills that are commonly affected in aphasia. Results the chronic time category shows itself to be fundamental for the elaboration of the narratives of the subjects with aphasia, however they found different ways of sustaining meanings, but always linked to experiences arising from the relationship between man and world. Conclusion the narratives were organized/constructed by the participants, having the images as a base (formal base) - since the ability to read verbal texts is impaired. Bir, Cr and Aul used chronic time as an organizational axis of their narratives and their comic strips show that these subjects with aphasia promote reading and writing when considering enunciative bias of language analysis.

RESUMO Objetivo observar, na linguagem em afasia de sujeitos adultos, a constituição de sentidos, considerando a (re)organização enunciativa na leitura e na escrita. Métodos pesquisa qualitativa com método aplicado e exploratório e perspectiva de análise enunciativa sobre a linguagem, tendo as noções de forma e sentido como base analítica. Foi realizada uma atividade com três sujeitos com afasia (Bir, Cr e Aul), integrantes do Grupo Interdisciplinar de Convivência (GIC), formado por participantes com e sem afasia. Tal atividade consistiu em (re)organizar quadrinhos de uma história, visando constituir sentido, uma vez que a leitura/escrita de textos são habilidades comumente comprometidas nas afasias. Resultados a categoria de tempo crônico mostra-se fundante para elaboração das narrativas dos sujeitos com afasia. Entretanto, eles encontraram formas distintas de sustentação de sentidos, mas sempre atrelados a experiências provenientes da relação entre homem e mundo. Conclusão as narrativas foram organizadas/construídas pelos participantes, tendo por base as imagens (base formal) - uma vez comprometida a habilidade de leitura de textos verbais. Bir, Cr e Aul usaram o tempo crônico como eixo organizacional de suas narrativas e suas histórias em quadrinhos, demonstrando que promovem leitura e escrita ao se considerar o viés enunciativo de análise da linguagem.

ABSTRACT Purpose To analyze the impact of social distancing, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, on the perception and nuisance with chronic tinnitus and the relationship of the findings with anxiety and depression. Methods The sample was composed by convenience, including subjects aged 21 to 78 years. The evaluation was conducted in two periods: pre-distancing (late 2019) and during distancing (2020). The second evaluation was conducted online via Google Forms, consisting of the following procedures: Semistructured questionnaire, Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI), Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), and the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI). Results In the comparison of the results of the procedures performed pre-social distancing and during social-distancing, a statistically significant difference was evidenced for the THI and the BAI, but not for the BDI. In the correlation of the perception of chronic tinnitus with anxiety, a statistically significant difference was observed, positive and strong, but not significant with depression. Conclusion Social distancing, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, worsened the perception of and annoyance with chronic tinnitus and was correlated with an increase in anxiety symptoms.

RESUMO Objetivo analisar o impacto do distanciamento social devido à pandemia de COVID-19, sob a percepção e o incômodo com o zumbido crônico e a relação dos achados com a ansiedade e a depressão. Métodos a amostra foi composta por conveniência, incluindo sujeitos com idades de 21 a 78 anos. A avaliação foi realizada em dois períodos: pré-distanciamento (final de 2019) e durante o distanciamento (2020). A segunda avaliação foi realizada de forma online, via Google Forms, consistindo nos seguintes procedimentos: questionário semiestruturado, Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI), Inventário de Ansiedade de Beck (BAI) e Inventário de Depressão de Beck (BDI). Resultados nas comparações dos procedimentos entre os períodos pré e pós-distanciamento social, foi evidenciada diferença estatisticamente significativa para o THI e o BAI, mas não para o BDI. Na correlação da percepção do zumbido crônico com a ansiedade, foi observada diferença estatisticamente significativa, positiva e forte, mas não significativa com a depressão. Conclusão o distanciamento social devido à pandemia de COVID-19 piorou a percepção e o incômodo com o zumbido crônico, estando correlacionado com aumento nos sintomas de ansiedade.

ABSTRACT Purpose To identify the reasons that lead the individual to follow or not the recommendation to use the hearing aid and its use over the years. Research strategy Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR) recommendations were followed. The databases searched were: Pubmed, Pubmed Central, Scopus, Embase, Web of science and Cochrane, using the following descriptors: “Hearing Aids”, “Patient Compliance” and the Boolean indicator AND. Selection criteria primary original articles with prospective, retrospective, observational or experimental designs; that raise, report, verify or analyze the reasons for adherence or not to the use of hearing aids, regardless of being an experienced user or not; carried out with the young, adult and elderly population; with individuals with any degree, type and configuration of hearing loss; with unilateral or bilateral adaptations and in Portuguese, English and Spanish. Results 27 studies were included in the analysis. There were two distinct situations in the auditory rehabilitation process: acceptance of the indication of the use of HA and the continuity of the effective use. Thus, the aspects that positively, negatively or do not interfere in these two phases were compiled and presented. Conclusion the most relevant factors in the non-adherence to HA were: perception of low cost-benefit, lack of understanding of the real need and difficulty in accepting its use; while the ones that most impacted the continuity of use were: HA sound quality, handling difficulties and perception of little benefit.

RESUMO Objetivo identificar os motivos que levam o indivíduo a seguir ou não a recomendação da necessidade do uso do aparelho de amplificação sonora individual (AASI) e a utilização desse dispositivo ao longo dos anos. Estratégia de pesquisa orientações do Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR) foram seguidas. As bases de dados pesquisadas foram: Pubmed, Pubmed Central, Scopus, Embase, Web of Science e Cochrane, utilizando os seguintes descritores: “Hearing Aids”, “Patient Compliance” e o indicador booleano AND. Critérios de seleção artigos originais primários com desenhos prospectivos, retrospectivos, observacionais ou experimentais; que levantassem, relatassem, verificassem ou analisassem os motivos de adesão ou não ao uso de AASI, independentemente de ser usuário experiente ou não; realizados com a população jovem, adulta e idosa; com indivíduos com qualquer grau, tipo e configuração de perda auditiva; com adaptações unilaterais ou bilaterais e em português, inglês e espanhol. Resultados incluídos 27 estudos na análise. Verificaram-se duas situações distintas no processo de reabilitação auditiva: aceitação à indicação do uso do AASI e a continuidade do uso do dispositivo de maneira efetiva. Os aspectos que auxiliaram positivamente, negativamente ou não interferiram nessas duas fases foram compilados e apresentados. Conclusão os fatores de maior relevância para a não aquisição do AASI são: percepção de baixo custo-benefício, falta de entendimento da real necessidade e dificuldade de aceitação do uso, enquanto que os que mais impactam na continuidade do uso são: qualidade sonora do AASI, dificuldades de manuseio e percepção de pouco benefício.
